I have a 2012 5.7 Tundra. Is it possible to increase the towing capacity by upgrading rear suspension and braking components, etc...? I came across a great deal on a 5th wheel camper rated at 13,960 GVWR and want to know if I can upgrade components to handle the extra weight? Example.

Probably not. The more important number is your payload capacity. Most Tundra's have 1200-1500 payload, the pin weight on most 5th wheels is at least that. Edit: On our last trip I saw 2 Tundra's pulling the smaller Grand Design Reflections. On paper the lightest pin is 1166, which is most certainly a few hundred lighter of real world.

F150 seems less likely, but tow capacity with the 3.5EB engine appears to be a minimum of 10,000 lbs and up to 11,200. Since it will mostly be a DD, I'm not considering a larger truck. Towing would probably only be 5 times per year at most.
Toyota says 9k-10,400 lbs. I've driven a 2007 and a 2009 pulling a 7800-8200 lbs. toyhauler, western US. But 11k, if it was once in a blue moon with the right Tundra, then sure but with any regularity I wouldn't. Ya gotta be able to stop it and not have the tail wag the dog!
Trading our 2016 Tacoma for a 2018 Tundra 5.7 8 cyl 4WD because of towing issues. The new Tundra says it’ll pull 9900#. The Tacoma capacity is 6400 but...
The Tundra isn't running at any higher RPM than the V8 Ford or Chevy at highway speeds if they all are getting the same MPG, or very close. Toyota just chose to make the leverage point in the rear axle more reliable and a larger ring gear means more teeth which over 200,000 miles means more durability.
