If it is "borrowed" and a mobile U-haul unit manager sees it they will pull you over and confiscate it on site, and then have the police write you up for theft--they do not play. They are very nice dollys so if this one is legit it is worth every penny. AtoZ Fabrication, Inc. 570-385-3931--shop. 570-385-3932--fax.

The overall track width is too wide. Most rental outfits will not let you rent it, if they know your intentions. That said, when my folks' E-350 van ate a ...
Trailer Guy said: Towing a gooseneck or 5th wheel with a dolly is considered to be pulling doubles in most states. So like here in CA, you would need a class A drivers lic. to do that. And towing one on a really tall reciever mount is crazy. Notice how a gooseneck and 5th wheel trailer has the axles way to the rear.

V8 Toureg has 310hp/302tq. It'll be plenty but its almost 1000lbs lighter than my 2wd 1/2 ton and mine has 390 horsepower and 470 lb-ft.

It was grossly overweight (my truck's about 9100 lbs) so I sprung for full insurance which came in handy when I got a flat. The Uhaul guy that came out to change it didn't bat an eye at the load and off I went.

I am looking at picking up a '93 GMC 3500 cab and chassis. It's got 175,000 miles, drivetrain is TBI 454, 4L80E, 14 bolt. Most of the it has been rebuilt within the last 15,000 miles.
A tow dolly or a trailer (normally) provides brakes. If the rear wheels are on the ground, take the 10 minutes to disconnect the 4 bolts at the rear differential flange and tie up the shaft, securely (or remove it completely). If the front wheels are on the ground, unlock the steering and the front hubs.
It was a diesel pusher motorhome pulling a 4-door jeep on a tow dolly, however the tow dolly was more like a single axle car trailer that had what looked like a small camper built on the front of it, in front of the trailer axle and the jeep. Could have just been enclosed storage. I'd guess the OAL of the deck of the "tow dolly" was close to 12 ...
