Lucasville is a census-designated place (CDP) in Scioto County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,655 at the 2020 census. [4] It is part of the Portsmouth micropolitan area. Lucasville is the location of the Scioto County Fairgrounds.

Scioto County Courthouse. Portsmouth is Scioto County's county seat. The courthouse is at the corner of Sixth and Court Streets and was constructed in 1936. The sheriff's office and county jail, once in the courthouse, are in a facility constructed in 2006 at the former site of the Norfolk and Western rail depot near U.S. 23.
