The City Council serves as the governing body for the City of North Myrtle Beach. Consisting of the Mayor and six Council members, each member has one vote. City Council members each serve four-year, staggered terms; three Council seats are elected every two years.
Beach Laws. Nothing may be left on the beach from 7pm-8am. If you dig a hole, fill it in before you leave. Use of laser pointers is prohibited. Unlawful to litter on the beach (fines up to $1,000) Alcohol, glass containers, and fireworks PROHIBITED. No swimming beyond 50 yards/shoulder height.
North Myrtle Beach residents need to register every year for parking passes. Paid parking will be enforced via license plate recognition. Your vehicle license plate will become your digital permit.
