Prior to 1912, Clermont County voted for Democratic candidates in presidential elections, only voting Republican three times between 1856 and 1912. The county was a bellwether from 1912 to 1936. Glen Este, Ohio is named for early resident David K. Este, [1] who owned a farm near the intersection of Glen Este-Withamsville Road and the railroad tracks, now State Route 32.
