I didn't want to call so here's what I did: -Force closed the app. - Cleared cache AND storage in the app (it was a new phone and never logged on so no foul or data lost) - Re opened the app. - logged in. - OAuth2 (which im guessing is a 2FA to your email address on file) worked and I was able to log in.
What didnt' work: Venmo app on my phone, logging in via Chrome on phone and desktop. WHAT DID WORK FOR ME: I tried using a a different browser on a laptop: "Microsoft Edge" on my computer.
Is there any way to get past the "OAuth2 Exception" error? I know this has been a topic of conversation here, but I'm experiencing it now and can't seem to find a way to log into my account on the app. Service has been useless, only pointing to reset my password over and over. My best guess is to file a report with your local police & have them subpoena Venmo for that info. Just make sure you have 2factor on and change your password. At worst, you already know who it is. Keep pressing 0 on the keypad prompt while on the phone with them. It helped me speak to an agent that way. If you find it tell me. I've been at it for 2 days . It directs me to the website or to fill out a form and a person will email me back. I have never had this much of an issue trying to talk to someone.
