If the consumption is excessive it might just be something simple like a blocked engine breather. I don't think it's much of a problem - searching shows a lot of places suggest a full oil service every 6 months / 3,000 miles so I guess being a little low is to be expected. Posts: Never in 47k miles in my Fiat Bravo and its 21k service intervals.

Luckily the oil leak was minimal but the cost of emergency tank pump out plus new tank install was nearly £3k. but if a huge amount of oil leaked into the ground it could have cost a lot more in the environment agency got involved. ation given by strangers on internet forums. We also plan to change the oil tank because: it is huge, bulky and not in the best location in terms of utilising garden space. We'd ideally change to a slimline bunded tank against a fence (and installing fire wall) the tank will need to be repositioned to be 6ft / 1.8m away from the location of the new external boiler
If you buy a poor quality genny at under £2,000 - you'll have to service it more regularly, fuel it more often, change oil more frequently, run it alot more and it is a pain as you mentioned. These small generators are noisy and dirty and less reliable. These big ones supply hospitals etc - they are solid reliable pieces of equipment.
The *facts* are that there have now been three versions of the belt in the Puretech. All the originals (2012 to 2016) should have been replaced by now, assuming people are going with the updated six year/60k interval, not holding out for the original ten/100k. The second version (2016 to 2023) will be in your engine.

12 October 2022 at 6:18AM. Had a warning light appear on my 2012 Aygo last week. Diagnostics showed the timing belt was stretched. Milage is around 45k. The mechanic said that Toyota had to change it and would charge about £2k. He said that the only other option was to drive it til it died then change the engine at a cost of around £1k.
