Summit County is an urban county located in the northeast region of the U.S. state of Ohio. As of the 2020 census, the population was 540,428, [3] making it the fourth-most populous county in Ohio. Its county seat and largest city is Akron. [4] The county was formed on March 3, 1840, from portions of Medina, Portage and Stark counties.
In 1985, she was appointed a magistrate of the Summit County Probate Court. [2] She was then elected as a judge of the Summit County Court of Common Pleas, serving on the bench from 1993 to 1995. [2] In 1994, she was elected to the office of Summit County prosecutor and served in that office from 1995 to 1999.
