Cloudland High School is a public high school in Roan Mountain, Tennessee, United States and is one of the Carter County schools in north east Tennessee. The school has 337 students in grades seven through twelve.
Originally formed in the 1950s the band was under direction of Mr. Melvin Kelley. Unfortunately due to a fire at the original Unaka High School (now the location of Unaka Elementary), the band suffered heavy loss and the program was dismantled. Carter County is a county located in the U.S. state of Tennessee.As of the 2020 census, the population was 56,356. [2] Its county seat is Elizabethton. [3] The county is named in honor of Landon Carter (1760–1800), an early settler active in the "Lost State of Franklin" 1784-1788 secession from the State of North Carolina.

Roan Mountain State Park is a Tennessee state park in Carter County, in Northeast Tennessee. It is close to the Tennessee - North Carolina border and near the community of Roan Mountain, Tennessee. Situated in the Blue Ridge of the Appalachian Mountains, the park preserves 2,006 acres (8.12 km 2) of mostly hardwood forest.
The elementary school was destroyed by a fire in October 1959. [2] A new high school was built during 1961 thru 1963. The first students went to the new high school in late 1963. The first class of students to go all four years to this new school graduated in 1967. The old high school became the elementary school. Both buildings are still in use.
