Thatuser June 29, 2015, 5:01am 2. While self-studying AP Chemistry is not recommended, if you are currently taking a chemistry class, you could ask the teacher if you could come in after school to perform some of the labs. (The AP Chemistry lab work is really important, and can show up on the MC and FRQ portions of the exam) If that is not an ...

Although Honors Chemistry can be beneficial, it’s still not necessary for AP Chemistry. There has been many students who took AP Chemistry without the Honors Chem or Regular and they still aced the class and some were able to receive 5’s.
.
Btw, I assume you’re a member for Runescape since being a member doesn’t bore you.

I received a 5 on the test. Zumdahl’s textbook has a lot of good info. and challenging problems so the AP exam goes by smoothly. Chemistry: The Central Science is also good, but I didn’t really use it except as a supplement because Zumdahl covers pretty much everything you need to know for the exam. Best of luck!
.

    You’ll probably get a 3, at best.
.
Not at all. You don’t need to prepare specifically for AP Chemistry in order to get a 5. A 5 amounts to ~80% on the exam, which is perfectly doable with MIT OCW. AP Chemistry is just an amalgamation of a few major concepts; it’s one of the easier APs. Of course, you should take some sample tests ...

I have no other way of finding out, because our current chemistry teacher (a last-minute sub. teacher) has absolutely no experience in AP, and simply makes us learn things from the Zumdhal chemistry textbook…which is much too detailed for the AP.

So my question is… is the understanding or antibonding and MO diagrams necessary for the AP exam?

Can anyone help me with what ...
