    If you go to the app in the app drawer and hold it, it should give you the option for "app info". From there it has the notification settings and permissions. For removing the updates, you tap the top right 3 dots. It may be slightly different for you as I'm using Nova launcher but it should be close.

    Obviously this feels intrusive, so personally I have it turned off most times. You can take it a step further and disable location permissions on the samsung visit in app, or just disable it, which some of us have done.     Samsung Notes is the best one. Noteshelf is nice too, but a buggy mess. Samsung notes is the best because you can also annotate PDFs if you need to. You never used to be able to do that. I like nebo. It's great for converting handwriting to text. Flexcil and Squid Notes are pretty good. Samsung, Noteshelf, or Squid.
