  2. change units from mm2 to m2 in the bill of materials - Autodesk...

    forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-forum/change-units-from-mm2-to-m2-in-the-bill...

To elaborate Jim's posting a bit, you will need to go to Parameters table in each part and change the particular user parameter unit from mm^2 to m^2. If you cannot figure out, please attach an example exhibiting the issue. Forum experts should be able to guide you through the process. Many thanks!

  3. Changing units - Autodesk Community

    forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-forum/changing-units/td-p/7062569

You would have to change the drawing unit and Scale the window down by 1/1000, so that the window edge is now the correct number of drawing units long in terms of meters. Then the area would show as the correct number of square meters. If you want to see it as Text for square meters [whether in a (prompt) or an (alert) or actually drawn into ...

  4. Solved: Load Definition - kN/m2? Possible? - Autodesk Community

    forums.autodesk.com/t5/robot-structural-analysis-forum/load-definition-kn-m2...

Hi all, I was just about to apply loads to a structure I modeled. It's a high rise building in concrete and steel, so only basic surface loads and wind loads. I discovered that loads are defined as kN/mm^2. I've always worked with kN/m^2 and would prefer this setting.

  5. Solved: mm2 to m2 arealabel lisp - Autodesk Community

    forums.autodesk.com/t5/visual-lisp-autolisp-and-general/mm2-to-m2-arealabel...

mm2 to m2 arealabel lisp. I have a two questions about this lisp file AreaLabelV1-9. First question is about conversion: cf 1.0 ;; Area Conversion Factor (e.g. 1e-6 = mm2->m2) I want m2 instead of mm2. What's the exact code for this? Second question: What if there is a "island" in the area. (A room in a room) .

  6. Solved: Symbol for meter square, m² - Autodesk Community

    forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-lt-forum/symbol-for-meter-square-m/td-p/1323402

just type \u+00B2. 07-21-2024 06:00 PM. this worked perfectly. especially when you have to find and replace 20+ instances of mm2 with the correct symbology. thankyou! Solved: When I open a drawing with area in unit 'm²', but it display 'm}'! Any one have any idea to solve yhis problem. TQ!

  7. Parameter area units - Autodesk Community

    forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-design-validate-document/parameter-area-units/td...

Fusion 360 evaluates the unit and then the equation. If the units don't match... it stays red. I was able to make it work leaving length, width, and area without units (No Unit). You can assign a unit by creating a parameter and multiplying it by one. Not that it helps any in this case. 😉.

  8. Solved: Hydrostatic Pressure To Wall - Autodesk Community

    forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-forum/hydrostatic-pressure-to-wall/td-p/9374833

Assume sea water. After calculations the pressure applied needs to be 150 kN/m^2. I go to the FEA Environment in Inventor, apply my fixed constraints and press the Pressure Button. MPa appears. 1Pascal = 1N/m^2. 150kN/m^2 = 0.150 MPa. (MPa = MN/m^2) but my design is at mm. What value should I input in the MPa box.

  9. Creating a Surface area column in the Bill of Material - Autodesk...

    forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-forum/creating-a-surface-area-column-in-the...

Its unit should be in m^2. Make sure it is exported so it shows up in Custom iProperties. 2) Create an iLogic rule as simple as this. Surf_Area = iProperties.Area. 3) Run the rule whenever the model changes. 4) In the assembly, add Custom iProperty "Surf_Area" to the BOM.

  10. Area units in Base Quantity - Autodesk Community

    forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-ideas/area-units-in-base-quantity/idi-p/4387795

However when i instantiated this iPart into a drawing and used the first 9x11 piece and a second 9x44 piece the parts lists tallied the quantities up just fine, but it showed 1165.860 in so the units and conversion is still wrong. Currently i'm using a parameter "SQFT_Cubic", units: ft^3, and equation [= SQFT * 1 ft]...

  11. Export physical iproperties to navisworks - Autodesk Community

    forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-forum/export-physical-iproperties-to-navis...

Here is a sample that I have removed the imperial option from. Note if you draw in mm and want the more legible m^2/m^3 you will have to do the appropriate division in the formula. iProperties.Value("Custom", "Volume") = Round_Vol & " mm^3". iProperties.Value("Custom", "Area") = Round_Area & " mm^2".
