BTW, besides the degradation of the JPG, the JPG file was 1.4 MB, and the PNG was 687 kb. Please note that if there was a photograph on the PDF being converted, the larger file would very probably have been the PNG.

Hi, In my past experience (which may not apply to today's Adobe Reader), the resolution of the reslt of selecting and copying an image from a PDF depends on how large the image is on your screen. That suggests that the select-and-copy method just uses what's currently rendered on your screen.
Hi, does anyone know of a more convenient way to convert/export several hundreds of PDF-files to individual JPG-files while keeping each individual file name? So far, the best but not convenient way I found is to create a PDF-portfolio and then export each PDF-file of the portfolio to a JPG-file. This a very time consuming procedure.
