This album truly feels like a creative writing project. She mentioned the lines between truth and fiction being blurry in folklore, and weaved together these fantastical snapshots of someone’s life that the Internet is now sitting around trying to extrapolate solid messages/references from.
For me Folklore is the best album of the 21st century so far by anyone not just Taylor. I know that is hyperbole but I have heard nothing better. the 1, caridgan, tlgad, mtr, mirrorball, seven, august, timt, mad woman, betty & the lakes will forever play in my mind forever and ever.

Folklore: Gray (and then Forest Green) Evermore: Burnt Orange (and then Brown) 1989 has so many color options. Its album cover is primarily yellow-to-beige but its type font is black on white background. But then the tour merch is primarily a combination of Neon Pink + Neon Blue on black background.

In an interview with Zane Lowe (Apple music), she said the photoshoot was taken in her friend's property, then I read somewhere (don't remember where) that it was Ryan's and Blake's. its an huge estate in Lewisboro in New York the location of the photoshoot is here. NOT owned by Blake and Ryan. although they have a house nearby.
I bought "hide and seek" which is also the Woodvale cover, which I didn't notice until I saw the interview where she denied the existence of a second album (ha ha, hi evermore). But the others I like are stolen lullabies, running like water, and clandestine meetings. But the back of in the weeds is lovely as well. And Betty's garden. I like a lot.
