piblondin said: No, nothing wrong with it. Based on what I read online, I assumed they would replace the battery. When I took it in store, they told me that they can only replace the entire iPad (for the battery replacement fee). Because I'm on iOS 12 and don't think I can transfer old apps to a new device, I declined.

My options are. 1) the most recent Air 4. 2) the 11 inch Pro, 2018 model. 3) the 11 inch Pro, 2020 model (obviously most expensive) I would replace it with a current gen iPad at $329. iPad 10.9-inch (10th generation) iPad has an all-screen Liquid Retina display, the A14 Bionic chip and four color options.
717. Jan 20, 2024. #1. I have an iPad Pro 10.5 from 2018 that needs either a battery replacement or replacement with a newer model. It's only 64gb wifi only and seems like it might only be worth $200 (based on swappa and other online sites). I mainly use the iPad for web browsing and reddit with occasional watching movies or playing games.
Apple does not replace the battery in an iPad Air 2, instead they give you another (refurbished) unit. Apple charges $99.00 for the service. Since Best Buy is an authorized Apple Service Repair Provider, they should offer the same service and price. Make sure by giving Apple a call. Thanks- simple back up of my playlists and take it in.
Things such as your iPad or Vision Pro's battery health or maximum capacity, average battery temperature and cycle count. www.itecheverything.com. Someone shared this in a different thread. This might be a game changer for all those who got declined by Apple to get $99 battery service.
I love my 2nd gen iPad Pro but the battery life has been quite poor at < 4 hours. I looked on Apple's website and they have an estimate utility which says $99 to replace an iPad battery. Great. I make a genius bar appt. Later that day I go to the Apple Store and the tech says they can't repair my iPad Pro because (and I quote) it doesn't have ...
But Apple claims the same battery life for each unit: Up to 10 hours of surfing the web on Wi-Fi or watching video. Looking at my Saturday usage, I had 5 hours of usage on my Air, and used around 55% of my battery. That's perfectly in line with the 10 hours of usage that Apple claims.
The Apple Store will order a replacement device if they do not have one in their back room at the time. They do not do any repairs on iPads and you will get a blank device that is likely refurbished. That is the entire process, doesnt matter if it's apple or an apple authorized service center (like Best Buy).
