    Not to dash your hopes, but you will be better off getting another monitor. Cost the same to replace panel as a whole replacement monitor or AiO PC, etc. The same goes for HDTV's. You could probably gently remove the cracked LCD panel from the back light panel and use it as a back light sketch board or something.

    Sep 8, 2017. #13. disassemble it carefuly and look for barcode lable on panel. it will have part number of panel printed on it. look by part number for replacemnt panel in ebay/amazone/ and google. there are shops that disassemble damamged/old electronics and sell what is still working as spare parts.

Tape the long side, use very tiny amounts of super glue (cyanoacrylate) and then some baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) to form the plastic, use a scalpel and mask off with tape to sand the new plastic and then the conductive pen to form the new traces. Or solder some wires to the traces and make a connector to attach to the PSU.

    I recently purchased a second hand Asus Maximus VIII Hero (Z170, socket 1151) motherboard, with some bent socket pins. I bought it to try bent them back, so the board will work again. Luckily, I managed to bent all the pins back in position, except one pin which was already half- broken. Not the whole pin is broken off, but only the "pin head".
