Kruger was born on 13 January 1910 in Nundah, an inner suburb in the City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia to Albert Henry Kruger (1871–1959) [3] and Matilda Otto (1878–1961), [4] both of whom were of German descent. He had five siblings and grew up on the family farm in Kilcoy, a small town in Queensland, where he went to school.
Burn Brae Plantation remains in the Krueger family today and stands as a tribute to Stuart’s founding families.
