The Bogoda bridge is over 400 years old and made entirely from wooden planks, which are said to have come from one tree. In the 1890s Lavender Hill was developed as a major tram route, with tram route 26 running along Lavender Hill on the way from Kew Bridge to London Bridge, and route 28 running from Harrow Road to Victoria.
