Lake Bonneville – 77 km (48 mi) long reservoir on the Columbia River created by Bonneville Dam; part of the Columbia-Snake Inland Waterway. [ 2 ] It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1987.

Finally, Dry Creek enters the City of Sacramento northwest of Robla, flows west-southwest (forming a small delta) and merges with Steelhead Creek (Natomas East Main Drainage Canal). Steelhead Creek flows south into Discovery Park in American River Parkway and then west (parallel with American River) into Sacramento River. [1] [3]
Uvas Reservoir, built in 1957, drains 32 square miles (83 km 2) and is 7.5 miles (12.1 km) upstream of the City of Gilroy and 10.5 miles (16.9 km) upstream of the Pajaro River confluence. Significant tributaries include Croy Creek, Little Uvas Creek, Little Arthur Creek , Bodfish Creek and Gavilan Creek.
In early February, 2010 a golden beaver (Castor canadensis subauratus) was captured in a live trap by San Onofre State Beach officers who discovered the beaver at the river mouth of San Mateo Creek. According to State Parks officials, the species was once native to the San Mateo Creek watershed, but were thought to be extinct. [ 22 ]
The park features a river beach suitable for fishing, a small craft launching area, picnic areas, and restrooms. [1] Steelhead Beach is a launch point for summer tubing trips on the river. Canoes, kayaks and paddle boards can be launched from the beach all year.
