Larchmont Blvd., looking south (circa 1920–25) Larchmont Village was developed in the late 1800s. By 1920, it had become a streetcar suburb of Los Angeles. Julius LaBonte (1879–1968), a developer from the midwest, is credited as the visionary who made Larchmont Village what it is today.
