Code tries taking Kawaki but Shikamaru steps in, boasting that Code is too weak to fight against the arriving reinforcements, so he leaves. Shikamaru asks Naruto about the public repercussions Kawaki would have to face, but Naruto retorts that Kawaki is still his family and will protect him, despite him killing Boruto.
In the aftermath, Momoshiki appears in Boruto's mind, showing him a vision of his friends fighting against him. Kawaki, having deduced that Boruto, being a full-fledged Ōtsutsuki, is likely to turn evil, sends Naruto and Hinata into another dimension, promising to free them after killing Boruto and all the Ōtsutsukis.
As Team 7 and Kawaki are horrified by the thought of Naruto's death, Shikamaru arrive at the Uzumaki house and uses Shadow Paralysis to bind Kawaki's movements. Momoshiki Otsutsuki is one of the two antagonists of Boruto: Naruto the Movie and a member of the main family of the Ōtsutsuki clan. A pale, androgynous man, he is a member of the Ōtsutsuki clan who was the reason Kaguya created the White Zetsu Army for, who comes to Earth to plant a new Shinju as the one he used is dying from using up its world's resources.
Both reminisce about the time when Sasuke left the Hidden Leaf in order to stay vigilant in case a threat similar to Kaguya came, as such a menace would bring global harm. Back then, Sasuke decided to keep his mission a secret, even at the cost of his daughter's possible future resentment. Naruto then leaves the tower and tries to comfort Sarada.
