John Joseph Haley Jr. (August 10, 1898 – June 6, 1979) was an American actor, comedian, dancer, radio host, singer, drummer and vaudevillian. He was best known for his portrayal of the Tin Man and his farmhand counterpart Hickory in the 1939 Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer film The Wizard of Oz.

David Craig Montgomery (March 21, 1870 – April 20, 1917) was an American actor and dancer, the partner of Fred Stone.Montgomery and Stone became famous for their performance in the 1903 Broadway musical The Wizard of Oz, and had many other successes in musical comedy and vaudeville.
His final film appearance was an uncredited part in Martin Scorsese's New York, New York (1977) starring Garland's daughter, Liza Minnelli. Haley died in 1979 at age 81 after suffering a heart attack.
