The Vista, formerly Music City Mall, and originally Vista Ridge Mall, is a shopping mall in Lewisville, Texas, United States, owned and managed by 1000 South Vermont LLC. Opened in 1989, it is located on the southwest corner of Round Grove Road and the portion of Interstate 35E known as Stemmons Freeway.
The Parks at Arlington was built in 1987 and had a grand opening in 1988, the mall was developed by Homart Development Company and Herring Marathon. The original anchor stores were Dillard's, Mervyns, and Sears. [2] In 1989, The Parks was expanded and Houston-based Foley's (now Macy's) was added as the fourth anchor store. [3]
The second phase of the mall was opened in October 2008 and had 300,000 new square feet of retail space and contained an additional 40 stores (about 30 of which are new to the market), restaurants, a bookstore and office space. [5] Like the original mall, the second phase was designed by Alamo Architects.
The mall features over 20 anchors and over 200 specialty retailers, as well as a variety of theme restaurants, casual dining and cutting-edge entertainment venues. Grapevine Mills is located within a major retail area just east of Lake Grapevine and two miles (3km) north of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport . [ 3 ]
