John Rosselli (8 June 1927, Florence – 16 January 2001, Cambridge) was an Italian-born British historian, academic, journalist, music critic, and writer on music.He earned degrees in history from Swarthmore College in the United States and the University of Cambridge in England; studying under Herbert Butterfield at the latter institution from 1948 through 1951.
In 1884 the company was started by John Tunner Rubery (1849–1920) and his two brothers (Samuel 1844–1910 and Thomas William 1856–1925), as an ironworks manufacturing gates and fences. [1] In 1893 trained engineer Alfred Ernest Owen joined John Rubery, replacing his two brothers, and in 1903 the company name of Rubery Owen was established.
