Yale IOE engine from 1911. The intake/inlet over exhaust, or "IOE" engine, known in the US as F-head, is a four-stroke internal combustion engine whose valvetrain comprises OHV inlet valves within the cylinder head and exhaust side-valves within the engine block.

For 1952, the model names Eagle, Wing and Ace were used for cars that had the six-cylinder F-head Hurricane engine and the Aero-Lark had the six-cylinder flathead Lightning engine. All 1952's had a two-piece split windshield. Eagles and Aces had a three-piece wraparound rear window, while the Larks and Wings had a smaller one-piece rear window.
Weidely Motors Company was an early motor company based in Indianapolis, IN. Weidely started in 1915. [1] It made engines for Premier, Chalmers, Cletrac crawlers and Owen Magnetic cars. [2] They also made a V-12 engine for the 1917 Pathfinder and 1920 Heine-Velox, [2] as well as the 1916-1918 Austin, Hal and Kissel cars. [3]

The F engine is a 3.9-liter, 75/93 kW (105/125 hp), carbureted gasoline engine that is capable of 261/289 N·m (189/209 lb·ft) of torque at 2000 rpm; the difference in power and torque is different depending on the export destination. The original design was started in 1948 when Toyota begun to explore exporting their vehicles internationally.
