The 2024 Extreme E Championship was the fourth and final season of the Extreme E electric off-road racing series, before the transition to hydrogen fuel cell cars for 2025. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] The season was abandoned after only 4 of the planned 10 races.
With the aim of condensing the schedule into a single day, the race format that included a pair of semi-finals, a "crazy race" and a final was discontinued. It is now the combined qualifying results that determine what team advances where, with the top five qualifiers progressing to the grand final and the bottom five to the new "redemption race".
The 2025 European Le Mans Series will be the twenty-second season of the Automobile Club de l'Ouest's (ACO) European Le Mans Series. The six-event season will begin at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on 6 April and will finish at Algarve International Circuit on 18 October. [1] [2]

The Extreme E regulations require each team to consist of a female and a male driver who share equal driving duties (with a driver swap in the middle of each race). [4] In September 2019, Extreme E released a list of drivers who had registered official interest in driving in the series. [48]
On 24 September 2021, a provisional five-round calendar was revealed, which included a return to Saudi Arabia for the season opener in February, an African event, a second Arctic X-Prix in Greenland or Iceland, and two trips to South America. [2]
