Central Curry School District 1 (CCSD) is a public school district headquartered in Gold Beach in Curry County, Oregon, United States. Its boundary, in Curry County, includes Gold Beach, Nesika Beach, Pistol River, and Wedderburn as well as the surrounding area. [1] It also includes the remote community of Agness.
Gold Beach is known for its football program, previously coached by the school's athletic director Kevin Swift. The Gold Beach football team Camp has been operating since 1993, 16 years of that under the direction of Kevin Swift. [7] The camp no longer operates. The football team won championship titles in 2007 and 2011.

The community was originally named Ellensburg in the 1850s, but later took the name Gold Beach after a beach near the mouth of the Rogue River where hundreds of placer mines extracted gold. [7] An Ellensburg post office was established in 1853, changed to Ellensburg in 1877, and changed to Gold Beach in 1890.
