    (In pregnant woman, there is a condition called pica, which compels them to eat soil or clay and is believed to have a nutritional cause!) The vet seems unconcerned, saying that usually dogs will do this if they have an upset stomach. Actually, I think eating the dirt is GIVING her an upset stomach...she seems to be constipated!

    I took my dogs to the veterinary & he checked them over, We gave them Frontline & treated any spots that had some hair missing mainly around the ears with Pet-Gaurd Insecticide Gel. They were both given a shot to stop the itching for 24 hours it was a steroid. Both dogs are very active & go for a run everyday in the woods & out in the hay fields.
