Trunk Line Bridge No. 1 was the first bridge designed by Michigan Department of Transportation. The bridge was built in 1914 in response to the 1913 State Trunk Line Act passed by the Michigan Legislature. The bridge used to carry US 41/M-28 across the Pesheskee River near the river's mouth at Lake Michigamme, but has since been abandoned. 38
