Please bring back the channel called Decades. The replacement channel called Catchy Comedy to replace it, well is, unappealing. Old drama shows are much more catchy! Just a point of view.
DECADES? I guess the devs at Sling only learned about the concept of fast-forward and reverse just recently? I may look into replacing my Roku with my Xbox, if I can find a remote controller that works the way you'd expect a remote to work for TV viewing and watch Sling there since it (kind of) works on Xbox.
Sounds clearly possible as power supply can cause other problems. Last night I got a notice on the TV screen that I had insufficient power for the Roku even though it was plugged into the wall outlet. I actually had unplugged it and all other electrical cords to shut everything down after my screen went entirely blank during a movie!
As for the TV, hmm, it’s been years – possibly decades – since I used composite video, but I don’t remember getting static from it. I think even if you have nothing at all connecting to a composite AV input, you just get a black screen and silence.
Also, all other Roku TV's and devices work perfectly on the same YTTV account and home network. Here's all the info I could find in case anyone technical looks into this: Hisense TV 65R8F; hardware ID C208X; Software Vers 13.0.0 Build 24062-94. As an IT professional for decades with a patent in streaming video, I feel like I have been sent back in time. This is what setting up WiFi cameras was like over >10 years ago. I’ve used many systems through the years and this is terrible. I realize that I am in an apartment with provided internet.
Roku is a buggy system. If cable wasn't worse I would switch. Can't get any of my apps to load right now. It has been buggy since day
Hello, this might be an old subject, but I had to write. I have a 3-month-old Roku brand TV. It was working perfectly until 7–10 days ago. Now it's lagging & buffering. Apps will buffer, and when I use the live & Roku TV option, the channel will say what's on, but I have to wait 5–10 seconds more for the picture to show up.
I tried rebooting both the devices and the TV and then one by one added the HDMI devices. Once they were plugged in and the TV was turned on it would recognize the devices and add the HDMI port as HDMI 1, 2 or 3 as appropriate, but still always appears as No Device Connected. I am guessing the TV has lost its HDMI brains at this point.
My sound stopped working on my ROKU TV so I followed your community advice; unplugged TV for 30 seconds upon plugging back in the sound worked again. (Note: I did try the screen menu option to factory restart audio but it didn’t work.) Sometimes I think this happens when there’s been automatic updates to my ROKU TV.
