Marcus Theatres is a United States movie theater chain that owns and/or manages screens and has food service. As of September 30, 2023, Marcus Theatres has 79 theaters and 993 screens in 17 U.S. states. In 2000, the chain partnered with MovieTickets.com for advanced ticketing capabilities. On March 26, 2008, it was announced that Marcus Theatres of Milwaukee, Wisconsin would buy seven Douglas Theatres, along with the name for $40.5 million. Cinema Center and Q-Cinema 9 in Omaha would continue to be owned by Douglas Theatres, and set close before summer, and Cinema Center would be set to close between October 2008 and February 2009.

As of 2024, Wehrenberg Theatres is family-owned and operated. Ron Krueger's death on October 21, 2015, left Bill Menke as President and Midge Krueger as CEO. [citation needed] On November 21, 2016, it was announced that the Wehrenberg Theater chain would be acquired by Marcus Theatres. [4] The acquisition was completed in December 2016. [5]
