Brian picks up Stewie from a play date. On the drive home, Stewie listens to "Before He Cheats" by Carrie Underwood on the radio and decides to stay in the car by himself to continue listening after they reach home and accidentally hits the gear shift, causing the car to move forward, he then quickly puts the gear shift back into park and the car stops.
They prepare to throw themselves off the top balcony of the hotel but Stewie chickens out at the last second, leaving Brian to fall to his death. A panic-stricken Stewie trips over his backpack and finds the money the other pair had won. Returning home the next day, the duplicate Brian and original Stewie bump into each other at the bus terminal.
The episode uses the premise that Family Guy is based on a British television show. The characters from Family Guy are all presented as stereotypical English people, apart from Stewie, who is a devoutly religious redneck with a hillbilly accent, as he already has an English accent in the main show.
A regretful Herbert watches as they embrace each other and he drives away to cry about their "break up" to some friends. Meanwhile, on the way home from a bad birthday party for a “friend” Lois met for Stewie, she puts on music to soothe his crankiness. He finds himself captivated by the sound of Anne Murray.
Stewie was created and designed by MacFarlane himself, who was asked to pitch a pilot to the Fox Broadcasting Company, based on The Life of Larry and Larry & Steve, two shorts made by MacFarlane featuring a middle-aged man named Larry and an intellectual dog, Steve. Stewie is a highly precocious toddler who talks and acts as an adult.
Unable to wait for Stewie to come out of the closet (he is obviously reluctant to exit from Meg's rear end), Lois enters the portal and rescues Stewie. The enraged spirits emerge and ravage the Griffin house, sucking it into their world. As the Griffins drive off, Peter dumps the Native American skull in a garbage can.
Refusing to give Rupert back to Stewie, Stanford and his family organize a skiing race down the mountain, so if Stewie is the first down, he and Brian are allowed to take Rupert away with them and if Stanford wins, he can keep Brian. Stewie cheats by installing rockets in his skis, but then crashes into a tree and loses the race.
Brian tries to stop Stewie from leaving Rhode Island, and follows him on board the plane. By the time he finally finds Stewie, the plane has taken off. It then lands in the Middle East.
