Renold Schilke was born June 30, 1910, in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He began playing cornet at age 8. Holton-Farkas is a product line of French horns and mouthpieces created through the joint venture of musical instrument manufacturer Frank Holton & Co. and legendary horn virtuoso Philip Farkas.
