The syntax of Java is the set of rules defining how a Java program is written and interpreted. The syntax is mostly derived from C and C++. Unlike C++, Java has no global functions or variables, but has data members which are also regarded as global variables. All code belongs to classes and all values are objects.
System.out.println(Hello World); The second example would theoretically print the variable Hello World instead of the words "Hello World". A variable in Java cannot have a space in between, so the syntactically correct line would be System.out.println(Hello_World).
A snippet of Java code with keywords highlighted in blue and bold font. In the Java programming language, a keyword is any one of 68 reserved words [1] that have a predefined meaning in the language. Because of this, programmers cannot use keywords in some contexts, such as names for variables, methods, classes, or as any other identifier. [2]
Dependency injection. Dependency injection is often used alongside specialized frameworks, known as 'containers', to facilitate program composition. In software engineering, dependency injection is a programming technique in which an object or function receives other objects or functions that it requires, as opposed to creating them internally.
Generics in Java. Generics are a facility of generic programming that were added to the Java programming language in 2004 within version J2SE 5.0. They were designed to extend Java's type system to allow "a type or method to operate on objects of various types while providing compile-time type safety". [1]
In computer programming, a weak reference is a reference that does not protect the referenced object from collection by a garbage collector, unlike a strong reference. An object referenced only by weak references – meaning "every chain of references that reaches the object includes at least one weak reference as a link" – is considered weakly reachable, and can be treated as unreachable and ...

This is a list of the instructions that make up the Java bytecode, an abstract machine language that is ultimately executed by the Java virtual machine. [1] The Java bytecode is generated from languages running on the Java Platform, most notably the Java programming language. Note that any referenced "value" refers to a 32-bit int as per the ...
