Lakewood Yacht Club is a yacht club located in Seabrook, Texas, and is a member of the Gulf Yachting Association. The club sits on 38 acres of land, housing six sheds and seven docks. The facilities include over 250 covered slips for power boats and there are an additional 200+ open slips on fixed and floating piers.
The lake was constructed by the city of Arlington in 1956, and was finished on March 31, 1957. [6] It opened for fishing the following March on March 1, 1958. [7] In 1983, the lake came under scrutiny from residents of Fort Worth due to a large amount of dumping being performed into the lake. [8]
The Boat is now SeaJeannie and owned by Vito Costanza hailing from Montauk NY; Belama (USCG #580128, Hull #26) was completed in 1977 for owner Newt Belcher. Today the boat is called "Mistress" and shares her time between South Florida and Cape Cod. Fighting Lady (USCG #604991, Hull #27) was Dinny Phipp's second 43, completed in 1978.
