Musser Scout Reservation is a Boy Scouts of America camp located along the Unami Creek on over 1,400 acres (6 km 2) of Marlborough Township, Pennsylvania. The Reservation is made up of three distinct camps: Camp Delmont, Camp Hart, and Camp Garrison. The reservation is part of the largest contiguous forest in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
Woodward Camp or Camp Woodward is a sleep away summer camp in Woodward, Pennsylvania, United States. It was founded in 1970 by Edward Isabelle, who was an All-American gymnast, and head gymnastics coach at Penn State in State College, PA. He partnered with Pat Stillman, an Academic All America football player and entrepreneur, to open the camp.
In 1953, the Florida Park Service gave 640 acres from Jonathan Dickinson State Park to the Boy Scouts. The reservation includes Camp Loxahatchee (opened 1955), Camp Clear Lake (1957), and the Mike Machek Trail (1988). Wallwood Boy Scout Reservation: Camp is 25 miles west of Tallahassee. Admission to all Pennsylvania state parks is free, although there are fees charged for use of cabins, marinas, etc. Pennsylvania's state parks offer "over 7,000 family campsites, 286 cabins, nearly 30,000 picnic tables, 56 major recreational lakes, 10 marinas, 61 beaches for swimming, 17 swimming pools" and over 1,000 miles (1,600 km) of trails.
The camp is built around, and gets its name from the 45-foot waterfall on the property. [2] [3] The camp is used by hunters and fishermen with the permission of the scouts. [4] It is known among fisherman, especially fly fisherman. [5] During the fall fishing season, the camp rents cabins to fishermen looking to fish along the Bushkill Creek. [6]
Woodward is located in eastern Centre County at (40.898773, -77.354439), [2] east of the center of Haines Township. It is at the eastern end of Penns Valley at the northern base of Woodward Mountain and Sand Mountain.
