The San Antonio–Austin metroplex is an emerged metropolitan area in the US state of Texas, where the dominant core cities are San Antonio and Austin. This combined metropolitan region, composed of the Greater Austin and Greater San Antonio areas, has approximately 5 million people.
It is approximately 13 miles south of Hondo on Farm to Market Road 462 and 36 miles west of San Antonio. [2] It is part of the San Antonio metropolitan area. According to an online community profile, Yancey has a population of 649 people. It has an oil business, an RV repair business and a restaurant called "Red's Place". [3]
The central area of San Antonio is highly diverse economically, ethnically, and socially. While the term "Central San Antonio" is not widely used, the notion of a greater area around the downtown core exists. Neighborhoods and districts that fall within this area are not easily categorized as part of the city's north, south, east, or west sides.
