After Ian Curtis's death in May 1980, the three remaining members of Joy Division started a new band called New Order. The Other Two is an English dance band consisting of Stephen Morris and Gillian Gilbert of New Order.The band name refers to the fact that the other New Order members, Bernard Sumner and Peter Hook, had already embarked on side projects by the time the first The Other Two record was released.
Co-founder Peter Hook was a member until his departure in 2007. Phil Cunningham has been a member since late 2001. Tom Chapman joined New Order in 2011 as former member Peter Hook's replacement.
