ChumpCar logo. The ChampCar Endurance Series is a budget class endurance race held on paved road race courses across North America, formerly known as the ChumpCar World Series, run by ChumpCar International Inc. Founded in 2009, the group changed its name in 2017, with registered trademark granted by the USPTO on August 28, 2018.
This is a list of circuits which hosted CART/Champ Car racing from 1979 to 2007.. Champ Car events were held on 54 different circuits. Phoenix International Raceway hosted the inaugural CART Series race, the 1979 Arizona Republic / Jimmy Bryan 150, and Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez held the final Champ Car race, the 2007 Gran Premio Tecate.
The 2004 Champ Car World Series season was the 26th overall season in the CART/Champ Car genealogy, and the first under the ownership of Open-Wheel Racing Series (OWRS) as the Champ Car World Series. It began on April 18, 2004, and ended on November 7 after 14 races.
However, the event was not included in the final Champ Car calendar, and the initiative would morph into the planned Zhuhai race for 2007. On August 13, 2005, Champ Car released the 2006 schedule. All 14 races scheduled for 2005 were back, including the Ansan Champ Car Grand Prix, whose inaugural running would not be postponed until September.
Champ Car World Series (CCWS) was the series sanctioned by Open-Wheel Racing Series Inc., a sanctioning body for American open-wheel car racing that operated from 2004 to 2008. It was the successor to Championship Auto Racing Teams (CART), which sanctioned open-wheel racing from 1979 until dissolving after the 2003 season.

The 2003 Champ Car World Series, the twenty-fifth and final in the Championship Auto Racing Teams (CART) era of American open-wheel car racing, consisted of 18 races, beginning in St. Petersburg, Florida, United States on February 23 and concluding in Surfers Paradise, Queensland, Australia on October 26.
