Washington Dulles International Airport station (commonly Dulles International Airport station or Dulles Airport station) is a Washington Metro station at Dulles International Airport in Loudoun County, Virginia, U.S., on the Silver Line. After years of delays, [2] [3] [4] the station opened on November 15, 2022.
Since November 15, 2022, Washington Dulles International Airport has on its own Metro station, as the station was built as part of Phase 2 of the Silver Line project. The station was originally planned to be underground, [18] but the plans call for an above-ground station, which will be located next to daily parking garage 1 of the airport. [19]
The Dulles project adds 100 megawatts of solar generating, plus 50 megawatts of battery storage, enough to power about 37,000 homes. It is expected to create 300 jobs and be completed by 2026.
