As of 21 March 2023, the Swarna Jayanti Rajdhani Express runs daily using the Jaipur–Ahmedabad line on Ahmedabad–Delhi main line. 12957 departs ADI at 18:50 and arrives at NDLS at 07:30 the next day. 12958 departs NDLS at 19:55 and arrives at ADI at 08:25 the next day, averaging approximately 73 km/h on both runs. On 1 March 1969, the first Rajdhani Express with nine coaches was flagged off from New Delhi to Howrah with the return journey commencing on 3 March. [4] The train completed the 1,450 km (900 mi) trip in 17 hours 20 minutes and was the only such train in operation till 1972, when the second Rajdhani was introduced from Mumbai .

This Train was originally introduced in the Annual Railway Budget of 1996–97 as a daily Rajdhani Express from New Delhi to Patna via Lucknow. Later it was rerouted to run via Prayagraj. In 1997, the pantry car service was introduced. [1] On 1 September 2021, the train's LHB Rajdhani Rakes were replaced with LHB Tejas Sleeper Rakes. [2]
The 12215/12216 Delhi Sarai Rohilla–Bandra Terminus Garib Rath Express presently has LHB coaches of which 20 AC 3 tier economy coaches along with 2 EOG coaches. It does not have a pantry car. it has 22 coaches which is equal to Bandra Terminus–Hazrat Nizamuddin Garib Rath Express and Mumbai Rajdhani Express
