The Bank of Hawaii Corporation (Hawaiian: Panakō o Hawaiʻi; [2] abbreviated BOH) is an American regional commercial bank headquartered in Honolulu, Hawaii. It is Hawaii's second oldest bank and its largest locally owned bank in that the majority of the voting stockholders reside within the state.

In 1970, Banque Nationale de Paris (BNP) established the French Bank of California. Later that decade, First National Bank of San Jose changed its name to Bank of the West. First Hawaiian Center was completed and opened in 1996 by chairman and chief executive officer of First Hawaiian Bank Walter A. Dods. With over 645,834 square feet (60,000 m 2) of space and a height of 429 feet (131 m), the building cost over USD $175 million to construct.
