Myrtis Dightman (born May 7, 1935) is an American former professional rodeo cowboy who specialized in bull riding. He is a ProRodeo Hall of Fame inductee. Known as the " Jackie Robinson of Rodeo", Dightman was the first African-American to compete at the National Finals Rodeo .

Fair Park is a recreational and educational complex in Dallas, Texas, United States, located immediately east of downtown. The 277- acre (112 ha ) area is registered as a Dallas Landmark and National Historic Landmark ; many of the buildings were constructed for the Texas Centennial Exposition in 1936.

Willie M. Pickett (December 5, 1870 – April 2, 1932) was an African American cowboy, rodeo performer, and actor. In 1972, he was the first African American man inducted into the National Rodeo Hall of Fame. [1] In 1989, Pickett was inducted into the ProRodeo Hall of Fame.
