Jorge Abad Airport [a] [1] (ICAO: RPLT), also known as Itbayat Airport, is an airport serving the island of Itbayat, the largest island in the province of Batanes, Philippines. The province's only other airport, Basco Airport , is located in the provincial capital, Basco , on Batan Island .
Mavulis Island is the northernmost of the Batanes Islands and the northernmost island in the Philippines. It is part of the archipelagic province of Batanes. The island is uninhabited but it is guarded by the military. It is also frequently visited by local fishermen (mostly from Itbayat and Basco) for fishing adventures.
Basco is the most populous town in Batanes and it is located on Batan Island, the second largest among the Batanes Islands, the northernmost islands of the Philippines.
