Boy is the debut studio album by Irish rock band U2.It was produced by Steve Lillywhite and was released on 20 October 1980 by Island Records. Boy contains songs from the band's 40-song repertoire at the time, including two tracks that were re-recorded from their original versions on the group's debut release, the EP Three.
Following the release of their single "Another Day" in 1980, U2 signed a recording contract with Island Records, [2] and released their first album, Boy, later that year. The band has since released 15 full-length studio albums, the most recent being Songs of Surrender in 2023.
The band's following album, Achtung Baby (1991), marked a dramatic shift towards alternative rock, industrial music, and electronic dance music. It debuted at number one in the US, eventually sold 18 million copies worldwide, and spawned five singles, including " One ", " Mysterious Ways ", and the UK number-one " The Fly ".

Vertigo 05: Live from Milan is a concert film included as a bonus DVD in the deluxe edition of U218 Singles. The DVD features ten songs from the band's 25-song concert [11] on 21 July 2005 in Milan, Italy, during the Vertigo Tour.
