Porches Pottery is a producer of hand-painted pottery in the town of Porches, in the Algarve region of Portugal. The pottery style was founded in 1968 by artists Patrick Swift and Lima de Freitas , in order to revive a traditional Algarve pottery industry.
Maria José Oliveira (born 1943) is a Portuguese artist. Beginning as a ceramicist she extended her art to include drawing, collage, jewellery, sculpture, and installation. She has had many solo exhibitions and her works have been included in several important group exhibitions. [1]
