Ba Son Station is an underground Ho Chi Minh City Metro station on Line 1. [1] Located in District 1 at the site of the former Ba Son Shipyard (now is Ba Son Complex) next to the autonomous bridge , the station opened on 22 December 2024.

Ben Thanh Market is situated in the center of Ho Chi Minh in Bến Thành Ward, District 1.The market is located on an intersection of four busy streets. The main entrance is the Southside on Lê Lợi Boulevard/Quách Thị Trang Square, the Northside on Lê Thánh Tôn, the Eastside on Phan Bội Châu and the Westside on Phan Châu Trinh.
Following the Fall of Saigon in April 1975 ownership of the hotel was taken over by the Ho Chi Minh City Government and Tự Do Street was renamed Đồng Khởi Street. The hotel was closed in 1976 [1] and reopened again in 1986. The hotel was completely restored from 1988-9 [1] and reopened in 1989 as the Hotel Continental.
After 1976, both the districts were annexed into District 1 of Ho Chi Minh City, Bến Nghé Ward was dissolved into wards of 8, 9, 10 (Hòa Bình ward of the 1st District was merged into Bến Nghé a year ago); and Cầu Ông Lãnh ward was dissolved into wards of 18, 19, 20, 21.
