Brussels-Central railway station (French: Gare de Bruxelles-Central; Dutch: Station Brussel-Centraal) [a] is a railway and metro station in central Brussels, Belgium.It is the second busiest railway station in Belgium [1] and one of three principal railway stations in Brussels, together with Brussels-South and Brussels-North.

Line 2 runs in a loop around the city centre. Line 5 runs between the west to the south-east of the city via the centre. Line 6 connects the King Baudouin Stadium at the north-west of Brussels, to the city centre, ending by a loop around the centre in the same way as line 2. Lines 3 and 4 are operated by major Brussels trams.
Izy used the main train stations of Brussels-South and Paris-Gare du Nord, in comparison to Ouigo, which serves secondary stations such as Marne-la-Vallée for Paris, and Tourcoing, which is near Lille. However, the Izy service did not use the same rail line as Thalys, but rather conventional older rail lines.
The Brussels tram routes 3 and 4 use the North-South Axis and run on surface outside the city centre. The common section offers a high service frequency during daytime hours between Vanderkindere in the municipality of Uccle and the Brussels-North railway station.
