It is a successor to 15 W Meteor Lake-U processors while Arrow Lake replaces the midrange 28 W Meteor Lake-H processors. Lunar Lake's focus on increased power efficiency targets premium ultra-thin laptops and compact mobile designs. Intel said that with Lunar Lake, it aimed to "bust the myth that can't be as efficient" as ARM. [3]
Intel says that total package power consumption with Lunar Lake has been decreased by as much as 50% compared to Meteor Lake, resulting in a doubling of performance per watt.
According to Intel, the Lunar Lake line uses 40% less power than the current Intel Core Ultra line, offers 50% better graphics performance, and features an up to 4x faster neural processing unit ...
Kaby Lake: successor to Skylake, released in August 2016, broke Intel's tick-tock schedule due to delays with the 10 nm process. Amber Lake: ultra low power, mobile-only successor to Kaby Lake, using 14+ nm process, released in August 2018 (no architecture changes) [3]
Lunar Lake's Lion Cove implementation contains a 2.5 MB L2 cache while the Lion Cove variant in Arrow Lake contains contains a 3 MB L2 cache. Lion Cove's larger L2 cache continues the trend of Intel increasing the size of the L2 cache for the last few generations of their P-cores such as Golden Cove , Raptor Cove and Redwood Cove .

Lion Cove P-cores features wider decoder and dispatch engines, a greater number of integers ALUs, larger L2 caches, and a redesigned cache hierarchy. Intel claims a 9% IPC uplift for Arrow Lake's Lion Cove cores. [15] Lion Cove in Arrow Lake has an increased 3 MB of L2 cache compared to 2.5 MB in Lunar Lake's Lion Cove implementation.
