Orange is the soundtrack to the 2010 Indian Telugu-language romantic film of the same name, directed by Bhaskar and starring Ram Charan and Genelia D'Souza.The soundtrack album includes six tracks composed by Harris Jayaraj marking his first collaboration with Bhaskar and Ram Charan.

The music was composed in collaboration between Pink Floyd member Roger Waters and Ron Geesin, who worked together on Atom Heart Mother [3] the same year, and employs biomusic, including, on the first track, sounds made by the human body (slaps, breathing, laughing, whispering, flatulence, etc.), [3] in addition to more traditional guitar, piano and stringed instruments.
The album was released in three separate edits: the original version comprising the full film versions, a "clean edit" with re-recorded vocals replacing foul language with non-sense words, and a deluxe edition [clarification needed]. All three versions contain clips from the movie, but some dialogue was re-recorded for the clean version.
At one point, while composing the score, Zimmer incorporated a guitar sound reminiscent of Ennio Morricone and was interested in having Johnny Marr, former guitarist in the influential 80s rock band The Smiths, play these parts. Zimmer's reported inspiration was finding a synthesizer track that he had written similar to Marr's guitar style.
